The system you choose must have a waterproof outdoor wireless door intercom unit available so you can talk to whoever is at the door is a sales person or a pizza delivery person for a pizza you didn't order, then you may add a little anger on top of your interrupted concentration. Unfortunately, it's much more expensive to do this for existing houses, condos, or town homes. If you have a larger house, or one with walls that could block the transmission signal, you'll want a long range system.
