Luxury house Hermes is inundated with demand for their products.  It’s not unsual for people to literally wait years to own of their $50,000 bags.

In an effort to meet this demand for their accessories, Hermes has opted to start their own farms in Australia for the sole purpose of breeding crocodiles..

“It can take three to four crocodiles to make one of our bags so we are now breeding our own crocodiles on our own farms, mainly in Australia,” says Patrick Thomas, chief executive of the luxury line. “Hermes already faces a major challenge producing 3,000 crocodile bags a year. The world is not full of crocodiles, except the stock exchange!”

At the time of posting, there has been no response from PETA.

Hello Raine,

As a patriot of all things luxe, I thought you might be interested in some rebelliously chic retail!

LUXE & LIBERTY is a bold new retailer exclusively selling luxury American made home décor & gifts.

Our mission is to highlight superior American craftsmanship, while providing a luxury shopping experience with outstanding customer service. The LUXE & LIBERTY collection includes: décor, dining, kitchen, bedding, bath, lighting, travel, outdoors, baby & kids, and gifts.

Every item is beautifully designed, made with premium quality materials, and intended for a lifetime of use.

Consider it a modern shopping revolution! A brand that customers see as both luxurious and beneficial to our nation’s economy.

Besides, as you know, made in America is so chic!

Our motivation stems from the economical and environmental impact of outsourcing manufacturing to non-domestic companies.
Based on the decreased manufacturing costs involved with most imported goods, the quality has significantly suffered.
In addition, the safety of imported goods are often at risk, due to drastically relaxed regulations on product content and ecological impact.

As concerned, yet stylish patriots, we thought that it was time Americans were given a choice!

We discovered not only were there remarkable choices, but that our fellow Americans are creating superior, elegant products.
LUXE & LIBERTY is shifting the focus back to these fabulous finds with our stylish website, http://www.LuxeandLiberty.com.

Bravo on your blog and thank you for helping to bring American Luxury back home!
