Today pre-orders started for the new Apple iPhone 4 and the website has already been having problems off and on accepting handset orders.

If you’ve gotten the “Oops! An error has occurred during your session. Please return to the Store Menu to continue shopping” message more than once this morning, then you’re now a part of the hair-pulling-out club that happens every time a new iPhone comes out.  And every time we’re like, “Umm, so, Apple, were you just not expecting to be selling a lot of handsets then?”

But it’s the way of the Apple iPhone ordering process, so we can’t break tradition, now can we?  You apparently cannot order the white model of the mobile as we can’s seem to find a pre-order for it online, so you’ll have to be satisfied with a black 32GB iPhone 4.  And we’re guessing that you will be.

With the new and improved iPhone, we’re pretty much willing to wait as long as possible, to make sure we can get this mobile and not have to wait for a backorder.
