Containing the rare 57 year old single malt whiskey from the famous Speyside Distillery (founded in 1824), the decanter is available by special order only beginning in October.

Macallan’s has made recent news because of the recent record breaking sale of one of their 50th anniversary bottles for £11,750.

The legendary French crystal house, Lalique, has produced the limited edition decanters which are individually numbered.   Of the 400 being produced, only 72 will be available in the U.S.

Jose Cuervo limited edition tequila.

Tequila should be chilled — this does not mean that you allow the bartender to slam it mercilessly in a shaker with ice cubes because all that will do is give you crystal shards of ice when you are trying to sip your tequila.   The tequila should be gently swirled amongst some cubes and then sipped at a moderate pace.

Practice your sipping skills because this autumn, Jose Cuervo is releasing a limited edition 250 Aniversario Tequila.  In anticipation of this milestone, experts at Jose Cuervo planted blue agave on the same land that was part of the original charter issued by King Carlos of Spain in 1758.

Jose Cuervo 250 Aniversario is a 100 percent blue agave Extra Añejo Tequila blended from the most select tequilas in the family’s reserve and aged in a unique double-cask method. The best of these Extra Añejos, aged in toasted new American Oak barrels for a minimum of three years, were selected by the master distiller and blended together to achieve a superior tequila. The distinctive blend was then finished for 10 months in Sherry casks originating from Spain. The decanter was inspired by the original glass bottle first used by Jose Cuervo to ship Tequila to towns throughout Mexico. Each comes packaged in elegant oak gift box and will have its sequential number etched into the glass, certifying the product’s rarity and authenticity.

Limited Edition S.T. Dupon Plance Vendome pen set.

This limited edition Ligne 2 Prestige rose gold lighter is  embellished with 192 diamonds, which sells for $47,000 and is limited to 35 pieces, is modeled on the architecture of the majestic Parisian square of that name commissioned by King Louis XIV in the 17th century.

In 1810 following his victory at Austerlitz, Napoleon enriched the square by erecting the Vendôme Column. A pen matching the lighter modeled on the column is also available. Napoleon’s famous quotation is engraved on the lighter’s roller and on the body of the pen:

Absolut Vodka celebrates the 40th anniversary of Woodstock.

This special bottle of vodka will first go on sale at Selfridge’s in London next month and then it will be widely released in October.

The bottle features a snug casing of black leather, embossed with the Absolut logo and adorned with silver studs.

Glenfiddich 50-year old scotch

Another very expensive whisky has hit the market.

William Grant & Sons Distillers Ltd. have released a 50-year aged version of Glenfiddich that will sell for $16,000.

The Glenfiddich 50 Year Old will be limited to 500 individually numbered, hand-blown glass bottles with decoration in Scottish silver. The bottles will be packaged in leather-bound cases, each accompanied by a book and a signed certificate.

In order to qualify as a 50-year-old whisky it must sit in its barrel unmixed with any other malt for the entire time. Some of the liquor evaporates over time (the “angel’s share”) making aging particularly challenging. Getting your hands on this well-aged treat will be no easy task. The 50- year will be distributed in 50-bottle lots over 10 years. The botlles will first be sold in selected airports and then be sold to a small number of retailers.

For summer the storied British brand has come out with a limited edition surfboard, decorated with a modern take on Dunhill’s iconic Bulldog motif.

Designed for Dunhill by the acclaimed European surfboard company Pukas in conjunction with surfing legend Jed Noll, the 9 ft. board is constructed from lightweight but high-density polyurethane foam with a superior resin-soaked fiberglass hard outer surface, minimizing drag on the waves.

Only 10 of the exclusive boards will be offered for sale at the Alfred Dunhill flagships in London, Tokyo and Shanghai for about $3,000.

In order to mark this auspicious occasion Bloom has designed a limited edition bespoke Johnnie Walker Black bottle with a leather label in Selfridges’ signature Pantone 109 yellow.

Only one hundred such bottles, each individually numbered, will be available exclusively at Selfridges, perfectly priced at £100.
