As far as luxury sports cars go, Aston Martin’s up there with the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini. While their “standard” models will run up to hundreds of thousands of dollars, this limited-edition Aston Martin One-77 can cost two million greenbacks.

The car’s powered by a massive 7.3L V8 that can generate over 700 horsepower. The engine’s mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox allowing it to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds while tests have indicated that the car’s capable of going up to 220 mph.

Only 77 of these cars will ever be made making it quite a rare machine. The cost even fits the name with a rumored $1.77 million price tag.

With a semi-reasonable price tag of $375,000, the Lexus LFA supercar will surprise you with luxury beyond your imagination.  Toyota has announced that they will only be making a total run of 500 cars, with only 150 coming to the States, you better get your pre-order in now!

CEO Stephan Winkelmann discusses why the company does not want to build bigger and bigger engines in their luxury automobiles, saying, “It has come to the point where acceleration equals consumption. More consumption means increased CO2 emissions.”

The company will soon be exchanging heavier metals for aluminum which will aid in not only aerodynamic but also fuel consumption reduction.

The new flagship luxury vehicle was sold this weekend at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, where bidding started at $300,000.

The undisclosed bidder will now be taking to the streets in one of the sexiest luxury cars on the block.

Lamborghini has revealed that their numbers are down substantially, only making a profit of $7.6 million the first six months of this year, compared with $49.5 million in the same period last year.  According to the company, car sales have dropped more than 37% and are continuing to decrease.

Looks like this may just be the year to get that Lamborghini you’ve had your eye on.
